Alexandria All City High School Exhibition 2019

CONVERGENCE PRESENTS
The Alexandria All City High School Art Exhibition 2019

The Alexandria All City High School Art Exhibition hosted by the Convergence Arts Initiative returns February 1st – March 30th for its fourth and most exciting year so far. This year’s experience features over ninety Alexandria high school students representing six high schools including public, private, and independent. Two new mediums including, Fibers/Fashion and Video/Film have been added to this ever growing exhibit. Returning for 2019’s collaborative event are students from Bishop Ireton, Episcopal High School, T.C. Williams, St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School, Commonwealth Academy, and The Howard Gardner School.

Each year, these exhibits are overwhelmingly successful in bringing together students and faculty from the city of Alexandria’s high schools for a friendly and collaborative event focused around the arts. This one of kind exhibit continues to recognize, encourage, and celebrate the creative pursuits of the visual arts students and teachers within our community.

The All City high school student artists participate in all aspects of the exhibition from submitting a call, framing, installation of the exhibit, to speaking about their work. The exhibition features a diverse display of artwork in a variety of media. Over ninety students will participate in this year’s exhibition juried by Suzanne Cohen, Carla Jaronson. Prizes will be awarded in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, mixed media, digital design, ceramics, sculpture, fibers, and film.
