Convergence is proud to announce an exhibition from artist, Pamela Flynn titled Considering Harm focusing on the issue of gun violence in our communities. Each piece is a small, mixed media, contemplative work on gun violence. These works, paired with text about incidents of gun violence in the DC Metro Area, work together to create tension forcing the viewer to consider harm. Considering Harm is traveling through major US cities. Each time Flynn tailors the exhibit to fit the particular location drawing attention to the harm gun violence brings to individuals and communities. The work has been exhibited in NYC, Philadelphia, Frederick, Maryland and now The Gallery @ Convergence, Alexandria, VA. About the Artist, Pamela Flynn - Pamela Flynn is a visual artist and art educator living and working in New Jersey. Flynn received her MFA from New Jersey City University and is a professor at Holy Family University in Philadelphia. Flynn has received the Puffin Foundation Grant and has exhibited her work extensively throughout the United States. Her work is grounded in issues from living day to day, seeing the visual word as a mirror of human priorities, she uses digital images and snapshots as a starting point in her work in an attempt to initiate a conversation on what Flynn calls the “inherent responsibility that goes with living.” Visit www.pamelaflynnart.com for more information.
