Resident Artists

The Resident Artist program at Convergence is designed as a committed partnership between the artist and the community. Each Resident Artist develops artistic and personal goals for their time in the program as well as projects to engage the church, Arts Initiative and local community. Artists are given access to studio, office or rehearsal/performance space, and all aspects of the mentoring program as well as a supportive and inspiring community in which to develop their work.

Convergence’s commitment to an ongoing program of resident artists is an effort to move beyond theoretical discussion of the value of arts and artists in the life of the Christian community. This is an attempt to weave the arts into the fabric of our culture.
