Yes and no. The Church at Convergence is a Christian congregation who believes in supporting arts, imagination and creativity. To that end, we have created the Convergence Arts Initiative to foster creativity, conversation and art making. You do not have to be a part of the church or any particular faith background to participate in the Arts Initiative.
Proposals for exhibits are accepted throughout the year for the following year. Please download the form and follow the instructions to be considered for a solo show. Open calls are announced on our website, newsletter and through press releases for our group shows.
No. Our classes are offered on a variety of levels and for various reasons. Some are designed for professional and emerging artists to develop their business and craft. Others are meant to help people awaken their creativity, identify passions and explore their callings. We are happy to have a mix of professional, amateur and hobby artists alongside those of us discovering our creativity for the first time.
Because of the unique function of the recording studio, time must be scheduled through the studio coordinator Dan ABH.
Currently, we have five studios in a shared space. Each studio is available to an artist for a period of one to two years. If you are interested in studio space please visit the Studio page.
Not exactly. Convergence partners with many local arts organizations to make space available at reasonable cost. Port City Playhouse performs in our Lab Studio Theatre at 1819 N. Quaker Lane. Visit the Port City Playhouse website for more information and to purchase tickets.
Convergence offers a unique creative experience and environment for your guests. The Gallery, Sanctuary and Classrooms offer serene space for classes, workshops and retreats, or creative space for receptions, meetings and performances. Attention to beauty and aesthetics is part of our vision and mission as we share our space. The Lab at Convergence provides a diversity of creative workspaces, dance or rehearsal classrooms, a stage and theater for more dramatic and energetic performances.
We currently only offer refunds if an event is cancelled.
For accounting and attendance tracking we prefer to receive registrations on-line, however for other forms of payment please contact the Convergence office.
Select your event on the Events page or the Events Calendar. Registration information will be present on the right side of the event page if the event is open for registration.

Absolutely not! Our congregation is made up of all kinds of people. We believe that creative living is an intended part of everyone’s spiritual life – no matter what you are passionate about. While most churches have been good about teaching information we believe the arts and creativity are the keys for integrating that knowledge into real life. We walk alongside an artistic community to help us intentionally learn how to hone and develop our imaginations while engaging in conversations about what matters to us all.
Convergence rents its buildings to Christ the King Anglican Church on Sunday mornings.
