Our CRAVE micro-grant dinner and partnership with the Torpedo Factory is inspired by the Sunday SOUP model taking off in cities across the country and the world! Take a look at grant proposals and recipients in other places and get inspired for your own CRAVE proposal. Submit your ideas here by March 10th!

Ashley Florence – an artist who wants to expand on her “Breadhead” series. (Seen above). Shell Stern – a community organizer who wants to theatrically deliver pretzels from her cobb oven via bicycle while collecting oral histories in her Hogwaller neighborhood. soft-pretzels-537x358 Aaron Fein – an artist who wants to explore the intersection of technology and art by making digital embroideries that serve as table runners. Digital Embrodiery City Schoolyard Garden – a non-profit organization that wants to build a mosaic in a garden at an area public school. City School yard Cirque A Circa, a multi-media circus, who received $260 to execute a mural on the GR Press parking lot surface during ArtPrize 2010. Cirque a circa Livestock, Russell Arthur Bauer,Live Stock is an exploration into the development of open-source agricultural controllers through the creation of living interactive animatronic inflatable hanging sculptures. LiveStockExploraWeb0103 Karen Heeringa, for work on her zine about mixtapes, “Mixtapers Do It Better.” mixtapes Dance in the Annex, an organization whose mission is to promote contemporary dance in the area through education and performance opportunity. Dance in the Annex Afton String Quartet to help the musical group develop concert programs for kids in local schools. afton Now it’s your turn! What are you craving? Submit your proposal for our inaugural CRAVE micro-grant dinner by March 10th. The application is simple and easy to fill out. Just briefly describe your project, when and where it will happen and how you will use your CRAVE grant. Then come to the event on Sunday March 23rd for the discussion, voting and fun!
